At Onsite Sewage Solutions, our goal is to provide reliable, professional, and tailored solutions for your onsite sewage needs. J.B. Snelson is the owner and operator of Onsite Sewage Solutions. J.B. is proud to bring his expertise in septic system design and assessment to homeowners and small businesses across the area. He currently holds a Master Alternative Onsite Soil Evaluator License, which allows him to evaluate, design, and install a wide variety of residential septic systems, along with some light commercial systems.

J.B. started Onsite Sewage Solutions in February 2022 after spending five years with the Virginia Department of Health, where he worked on well and septic permits. This experience gave him valuable insight into the regulatory side of septic system design and installation, and a deep understanding of what it takes to ensure systems meet all the necessary health and safety standards.

More About J.B.

J.B. is a Floyd County, VA resident where he lives with his wonderful wife and two daughters. Their family loves staying active in the community and spending quality time together, whether it’s enjoying the outdoors or supporting local events.

J.B. holds two degrees from Virginia Tech: a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences (2010) and an M.S. in Horticulture (2012). These educational experiences helped shape his passion for the environment and his deep appreciation for sustainable practices—values that he carries with him in his professional and personal life.

In addition to his technical expertise in septic system design, he brings genuine commitment to serving the community with integrity and a personal touch. Whether you’re working on a residential project or have questions about the permitting process, J.B. is here to help and provide the expert guidance you need.
